Guided Nature & Forest Therapy
Experience the restorative potential of nature through Shinrin-Yoku–inspired Nature and Forest Therapy sessions. This offering is a gently guided, presence-based wellness practice that invites participants to slow down, engage the senses, and shift from head to body—cultivating a more embodied way of being through breath, movement, and awareness.
Guided sequences may include sensory invitations, slow-paced walking, sit spots, reflective pauses, group sharing, and simple tea rituals. As a guide, my role is not to fix or control the experience, but to serve as a doorway—creating space for nature itself to do the work. Each session is gently held, emphasizing a reciprocal relationship with the natural world rooted in listening, respect, and presence. Nature is not something we visit; it is something we belong to.
In a world that often moves quickly and leaves little space for pause, Nature & Forest Therapy offers a meaningful counterbalance. Research and practice suggest these experiences may support nervous system regulation, reduced stress, improved mood and focus, and a deeper sense of connection. Each participant’s experience unfolds differently—some finding calm or clarity, others reflection or emotion—and all responses are welcomed and honored, without expectation or required outcome.
Sessions may take place outdoors, indoors, or remotely. Remote sessions are especially well-suited for individual experiences, staff wellness offerings, and meaningful gifts, and can be a gentle way to support someone who is new to their home—inviting deeper connection to the textures, light, sounds, and living details of the space around them.

Expressive Art Experiences
Engage in thoughtfully guided art experiences that invite creativity, curiosity, and connection. Rooted in studio art practice and art history, these offerings are designed to meet participants of all ages and abilities where they are. Drawing on experience instructing youth, adults, older adults, and individuals living with dementia, sessions are held with flexibility, care, and respect for diverse ways of engaging.
Experiences may include hands-on studio explorations such as watercolor or pastels, as well as art history–informed sessions that weave visual examples, storytelling, and optional print materials into the experience. Participants may choose to listen, observe, reminisce, discuss, or engage fully in the creative process—each mode of participation is welcomed and honored.
Offerings can range from movement- or season-inspired workshops, such as Ikebana or wreath-making, to deeper explorations of artistic movements and cultural influence—whether that’s Impressionism through oil pastels, Warhol-inspired pop art and iconic figures, or an art history presentation on the Medici family and the lasting influence of Florence on art today. Whether the focus is learning, creative expression, reminiscence, or simple enjoyment, each experience is thoughtfully curated to feel engaging, inclusive, and meaningful.
Sessions are guided by an experienced art instructor with a background in studio art and art history, and years of experience facilitating creative programs for youth, adults, older adults, and individuals living with dementia.
Gentle Chair Yoga
Gentle chair yoga offers accessible, chair-based movement designed to support balance, mobility, and ease. Rooted in mindful movement and breath awareness, sessions incorporate gentle stretching, invitational asanas (yoga poses), and a short guided relaxation or savasana at the close—creating space for both physical release and nervous system settling.
In a world where many spend long periods seated or holding chronic tension, chair yoga provides a supportive pathway back into the body with care and intention. These practices may support core strength, balance, functional reach, circulation, and overall mobility, while also contributing to improved mood, better sleep, and a more rested, regulated nervous system. Gentle movement and breath awareness may additionally support digestive comfort and the body’s natural processes of regulation and release.
Each session is thoughtfully paced and responsive, honoring a wide range of abilities and energy levels. Movement is offered as an invitation rather than a requirement, encouraging participants to explore modified asanas in ways that feel safe, respectful, and appropriate for their individual bodies. Participants are invited to listen inwardly, rest when needed, and engage at their own comfort level—without pressure or expectation. This offering is well-suited for senior living communities, wellness programs, and staff support initiatives.

Guided Meditation
Guided meditation sessions invite participants into stillness, breath, and awareness. Experiences may include body scans, chakra-informed themes, guided imagery, and sound elements such as curated hertz frequencies or binaural tones. Sessions can be offered seated or lying down and are designed to support relaxation, emotional regulation, and presence.
These sessions offer a gentle anchor within the pace of daily life, creating space for the nervous system to settle and for inner calm to be explored. Guided meditation may support stress reduction, improved focus, and a sense of grounded connection—making it especially valuable for individuals navigating change, aging, or cognitive and emotional transitions. These experiences are also well-suited for staff wellness programs, offering caregivers, associates, and teams a restorative pause that supports resilience, emotional balance, and sustained well-being.
Each session is thoughtfully paced and responsive, inviting participants to engage at their own comfort level and to meet the experience as it unfolds.
Sessions are guided by an experienced meditation facilitator with over seven years of small-group practice, informed by training through Aura Wellness Center.
